What we cover
The site covers busy bags, car games, plane and train activities, waiting games, toys by age, homemade travel toys, road trip pacing, toy safety and car seat pointers.
Who it is for
Parents, grandparents, caregivers and anyone else traveling with children from babies to about twelve. The ideas suit short errands as well as long journeys.
How we choose ideas
- Activities should be quiet, low-mess and easy to pack.
- Most should work without screens or batteries.
- Ideas should be simple to explain and easy to stop.
- Age ranges are suggestions. Product age labels always come first.
About the luggage tags
Each activity on the site appears as a luggage tag built from one shared list. The tag shows suggested ages, where it works, how messy and noisy it is, and what it packs into. The tag numbers and barcodes are decoration, drawn by code from each activity's name.
How we handle safety
For car seats, airline rules, security screening and product safety, we give general information and point to official sources, because those rules change and depend on where you live. We are not a safety agency, and nothing here replaces a seat manual, a toy label, a certified technician or your child's doctor.
What we are not
We are not a shop and do not sell toys. We do not name brands, accept payment for coverage, publish ratings or use partner links.
About the name
Toys Travel is simply a description of the subject: toys and games that travel well. The site is not connected to any toy maker, travel company, store or earlier website that may have used the name.

About Toys Travel: FAQ
Can I share these ideas with a school or a parent group?
Yes. Link to any page you find useful. The activities are general ideas, so adapt them to the children you care for.
Why are there no product links?
Most of the activities here need paper, a pencil, a deck of cards or nothing at all. We would rather show you how to keep kids busy with what you already have than send you shopping.
Do you cover screen time on trips?
Only in passing. The site focuses on screen-free play, which is useful even for families who also bring a tablet, since batteries run out and devices are put away at times during flights.
